Morro Bay will rock your socks off ⛰️

What a sea creature’s dream! Morro Bay State Park is most famous for Morro Rock but it’s small town charm and local hot spot for sea otters, birds and marsh dwellers that added to this #LadyHikers adventure.

The Museum of Natural History is inside the park and is also a wonderful gem! It has exhibits that cover natural features and cultural history, Native American life, geology and oceanography. Tickets or donation required.

The park is actually quite large and you’ll do way more walking than hiking, it’s most certainly worth a road trip stop off for a few hours.

If you plan a whole day in Morro Bay, be sure to add Morro Estuary Natural Preserve, 800-acres of fresh wetlands mix with ocean tides. Estuaries are rich and productive habitats, providing spawning grounds and nurseries for numerous wetland wildlife species.

DO NOT FORGET TO HUNT FOR THEIR MOST FAMOUS SEA CRITTERS...
